  1. Another wonderful book is called, “Raising Your Spirited Child” by Mary Sheedy Kurcinka.

If you have a “spirited” or AKA “strong-willed child”, this book is a wonderful resource to stop trying to simply change those behaviors that absolutely drive you crazy. Instead, it’s about helping you help your child understand and think through the emotions that are driving the behaviors and teach them better strategies to react. It’s about embracing the intense, enthusiastic emotions that MAKE them strong willed and helps direct them to use them in more positive ways.

It is by far the most helpful “strong willed child” book I have ever read. I definitely recommend it!

  2. Thanks Deanna, I appreciate you taking the time to share that resource. Feel free to add more if you come across other valuable resources.

  3. Great post.. the most precious job we have is parenting our children… and possibly one of the most difficult.. !
