Creating Places To Get Alone With God

The first Wednesday of every month we have what we call “Simply Worship.” It is probably the most reflective and intimate service we have because it is designed to do nothing more than foster a culture of worship as the name suggests. This month however we took it to a even deeper level by placing tables around the perimeter of the room for people to go journal. pray, sit in silence. It’s interesting how simply providing alternative locations to connect with God can create intimate moments. I think that all too often we find ourselves feeling confined to a row or a pew and as a result we hold back the welspring of worship that is growing in our hearts.

My encouragement is to create a culture that says it doesn’t matter where you are in this place, you are in the house of God and here your can cry out and worship in whatever fashion you’d like.
