James
Last week my small group started in on a study of the book of James and tomorrow we are truly beginning the journey with an overview discussion of the book.
James is such an incredible book filled with awfully blunt, in your face wisdom. Perhaps that’s the thing I enjoy so much about the book.
James doesn’t beat around the bush. He tells it like it is.
For whatever reason as people (myself included) we often avoid this type of straight forward advice, but I can’t help but wonder what society would be like if we were open to it.
Would we be more authentic? More real? More loving and compassionate?
Hopefully this study will create change in my life. Hopefully I’ll be able to take James’ advice to heart.
